Frequently asked questions
Here you can find answers to the most frequently asked questions about our products.
Does the handle fit all my tractors / implements?
Yes – the handle is designed for all types of implements and tractors from all manufacturers.
We have them sitting on wagons, ploughs, harrows, drills, drums etc. in agriculture from many different brands (Kverneland, Väderstadt, Multiva, Smyth, Horsch, Amazone, Bre-Dal etc.) There are 1/2″ BSP threads, so if your implement is not born with 1/2″ BSP, it is possible to re-nip. See our thread guide for more information.
In relation to tractors we have fitted all manufacturers drip tray systems, completely trouble free!
In addition, they can also be used on attachments for some loaders and construction machinery.
Are they available for other sizes (e.g. 1/4'', 3/4'' or 1'')?
We expect to deliver to the different sizes by spring 2023.
How do I choose colours and markings?
We have created a basket system just like on traditional webshops.
On the product page for the coloured handles, there is therefore an integrated option to choose different colours and markings on each handle, so you can match your tools and tractors yourself. It is also possible to have a text written on the handle, for example with the company name or the function of the tool.
Can I use my own quick couplings?
Yes, of course!
It is not a requirement that we fit new quick couplers when ordering handles. When ordering our handles for better handling of hydraulic hoses, it is possible to choose “Without Quick Coupling”, where you will then only receive the handle with a gasket at the top. Then you can install your own quick couplings instead. Remember that we recommend a tightening torque of 82 Nm for the quick coupling.
NOTE: Please note that the handle is so far born with 1/2” BSP male thread and therefore only fits on 1/2” quick couplings with similar thread. If you are unsure about the type and size of the threads on your hydraulic hoses, we have made a thread guide here.
Is there enough space between my tractor and the implement?
Yes, in the vast majority of cases.
The overall length of the handle when fitted is only 21.5 cm, so unless space is at a premium. or strain the hydraulic hoses, there are no concerns about handle length.
Does the product withstand the harsh environment?
The product is specially designed for the agricultural environment.
The handle is coated aluminium and the rubber is of our own compound to achieve high flexibility, strength and resistance to water, steam, acid, alkali, oil, wind/weather, ozone (including sunlight) and gas. We strive for a lifetime of the rubber on min. 5 years and min. 10 years on the handle itself.
NOTE: Prolonged use in cold temperatures can make the rubber feel hard and less flexible. This typically makes it smaller than usual, where it requires a little hand strength to unfold it completely. As the pod warms up, it will return to its optimal state without damage. This is tested in January 2023.
Can the rubber be changed?
The rubber can be easily replaced if problems arise – by the way, it’s cheaper and emits less CO2 than changing your quick release.
Is it your own idea?
Yes – 100%.
The idea to protect lightning couplings from dust dates back to 2020, when we won the Startup Programme of the Danish Foundation for Entrepreneurship and were to represent Denmark at the European Entrepreneurship Championships. We knew then that there was something to it and that it could come to something.
